Welcome to the Hardick Page.
This site is for persons who have the surnames Hardick, Hardiek, Hardieck, Haddick, Hardijk, Hardeick, Haardiek, Haardieck, Haardick or are related.
At last a new, updated site. The old one was boring, hacked ( more than 60.000 entries in the guestbook advertising some medicine) or not working due to an update of my provider. In the What's New section I will announce any updates. As the old site is gone so is all the information about your registration. I'm very sorry about that, but weeding out the real users from the fakes (more than 5.000) would take a very long time.
Except from the genealogical data (or when mentioning a specific person or family) I will use Hardick when addressing all these surnames.
Please take note that the search does not include the family trees!
The translations are provided by Google and does not include the family tree pages.
What can you find here?
In the first place genealogical data. If you are not a registered user for the family trees you can lookup all the persons and other data, but not the full information about a person or family. If you register please tell us something about a Hardick from your family that can't be found on this site (death or marriage date, spouse) so that we can confirm that you are family member. The reason is simple: you will have access to data of living people. The Family Trees include also tombstone information and more.
Secondly, I'm compiling some documents about special subjects (coat of arms, Hardick in a region) that don't fit in a family tree. A summary will be on the site, the whole document is available in PDF for download (in some cases only on request). You can find them in the section More About.
What you can't find here is data about the Hardick families in the USA, simply because we don't have anything about them. If there is someone who can tell something about them (and where they came from) we would be very grateful. The same problem (lack of data) have the Hardicks of South Africa and the UK, although of the last we have some data. In short: if you know your ancestor came from The Netherlands or Germany you will probably find a match.
There are three (so far unconnected) trees in the database:
Versmold and Halle Tree (update 15 Jan 2012): Hardicks from Versmold and Halle (Germany), Enschede and Eibergen (the Netherlands), Fort Wayne and Millstadt (USA).
RecklinghausenTree (update 8 May 2011): Hardicks from the area of Recklinghausen / Herne (Germany). Mainly compiled from data from Walther Hegemann.
Neuenkirchen Tree (update 11 Mar 2012): Hardicks from Neuenkirchen (near Bramsche, Germany) and Teutolpolis (USA). In total data of 460 persons updated.
Myheritage Family Trees
On MyHeritage.com you can find al lot of data about Hardiek/Hardick etc in Versmold (Germany). Please take note that the data of that tree is not recent (as of Mar 6, 2011 the data was of 2009). This site has more recent data and if you register you will be notified of of changes and updates.
